This one started in the Upside Down.
Miyosha was telling me one of her stories—full performance, facial expressions and all—when somewhere in the setup she said:
“Cause, I'm the key ingredient!”
I immediately busted out laughing and told her, That's going on a hoodie.
It was funny because Mimi is funny. But underneath the joke, that statement went off like fireworks in me.
Because I knew exactly what she meant.
Some of us know what it feels like to be The One. The one they call to fix it. Support it. Organize it. Teach it. Figure it out. Show up. The one whose name somehow gets called when everybody else is standing right there.
And as two Capricorns who know that role very well, Mimi and I understand something:

Before she even finished her story, part of my brain had already slipped off to the design room. I could see the hoodie coming together.
The first version was cool—but something was missing.
Turns out, Key Ingredient was missing its key ingredient.
Mimi's favorite part of DVU is the aesthetic—the color, the energy, the way everything jumps out at you. So I went back in, gave it that DVU flare, and the whole thing came alive.
Just like that, something my homegirl said in the middle of an ordinary day became one of my favorite pieces from Hoodie SZN '26.
