DVU BRAND AMBASSADORS
The Squad's Origin Story
The Dope Squad was born from one unexpected moment in The Upside Down. During a conversation about creating a graphic for my OG, one random word sparked an entire universe: Pampers. It had absolutely nothing to do with the design being discussed, but the moment the word landed, the vision started spinning instantly — color waves, paint splashes, personalities, energy, and characters all coming to life in real time.
The first to arrive was Cody. Surrounded by vibrant turquoise and bright yellow paint splatters, Cody immediately gave mascot energy. Cool, confident, and grounded in community, he represents everyday connection, friendship, and authentic vibez. Cody is the guy you’d catch in a DVU hoodie and jeans at the basketball game, laughing with friends and bringing life wherever he goes.
Then came Samuel — bright, joyful, and impossible not to smile at. With his pure white, bright yellow, and turquoise color wave, Samuel embodies positivity, self-love, and light. His energy is contagious. The kind of character that naturally raises the vibration in every room he enters.
As the vision expanded, it became clear the crew needed sophistication and style. That’s where Bentley entered the picture. Sharp in his tuxedo with his black-and-champagne aesthetic, Bentley represents elegance, confidence, and polished presence. He’s organized, intentional, charming, and effortlessly fly — the embodiment of elevated DOPE VIBEZ energy.
But something was still missing: a representative for the kids, creativity, and fearless color expression. Enter JoJo, named after my real-life nephew and designed to embody joy, imagination, and youthful individuality. Dressed in a rainbow-colored DVU hoodie and colorful sneakers, JoJo lives in the same vibrant world of color splashes and creative freedom that inspires the heart of the brand.
Together, Cody, Samuel, Bentley, and JoJo became The Dope Squad — the official brand ambassadors of DOPE VIBEZ UNLIMITED. More than characters, they represent the many sides of the movement: joy, style, creativity, confidence, love, community, and self-expression.
And from the moment they were created, it was clear:
they weren’t just designs…
they were family.
